Mephobarbital (Mebaral) is a barbiturate, which is already a strong sedative that calms the nervous system. The concern here is simple to picture: Corydalis yanhusuo may have its own mild calming effect, so stacking it on top of a barbiturate could add up. That might leave you feeling extra drowsy, foggy, dizzy, or slow to react, and in larger combined amounts it could affect breathing.

I want to be honest about the strength of this one. It is theoretical, based mostly on lab and animal research, not solid human studies, so we cannot say it will definitely happen. Still, because barbiturates are powerful, it is worth playing it safe. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing these two, and never adjust your Mebaral on your own.
