Mestranol, Norethynodrel falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Corydalis Yanhusuo interacts with.

Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might increase serum levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical research show that berberine moderately inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP3A4.

This combo pill (an estrogen plus a progestin) is cleared in part by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Corydalis contains berberine, which lab and early human studies suggest can mildly slow that enzyme down. The idea here is that if your body breaks these hormones down a little more slowly, their levels could creep up. In real life that might mean more of the usual hormone-type side effects, things like nausea, breast tenderness, headaches, bloating, or mood changes.

Keep in mind this is only a theoretical concern based on how the herb behaves in the lab, not proven harm in people. Still, since hormones can be sensitive to small shifts, it is worth running this past your pharmacist or doctor before combining them rather than guessing.
