Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. Preliminary clinical research shows that berberine can inhibit CYP2C9. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP2C9.

In Aleve Cold and Sinus, the naproxen part is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. Corydalis (through its berberine content) may slow that enzyme down. On paper, that could let naproxen build up a bit higher than usual, which might mean more of its typical side effects, like stomach upset, heartburn, or in some folks a higher risk of stomach irritation or kidney strain. The pseudoephedrine piece isn't really part of this enzyme story.

Here's my honest take: this is a theoretical concern based on lab and early research, not real-world reports, so don't panic. Still, since naproxen already can be hard on the stomach and kidneys, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing the two.

Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro and in vivo research suggest that berberine can inhibit platelet aggregation. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit platelet aggregation.

Here's the gist for Aleve Cold and Sinus (naproxen plus pseudoephedrine): the naproxen part is an NSAID, and NSAIDs already nudge up bleeding risk a little by affecting how your platelets stick together and by being a bit rough on the stomach lining. Corydalis yanhusuo contains compounds (including berberine) that, in lab and animal studies, also seem to slow platelet clumping. Put the two together and, in theory, you could see more bleeding-type effects, think easy bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach irritation.

I want to be honest about the strength of this: it's based only on test-tube and animal research, not solid human studies, so it's a theoretical concern rather than a proven one. Still, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
