Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical research show that berberine moderately inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP3A4.

Here's the simple version: your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to clear Nurtec ODT (rimegepant) out of your system. Corydalis contains berberine, which may gently slow that enzyme down. If the enzyme works slower, more rimegepant can linger in your blood, which could nudge its usual side effects up a bit, things like mild nausea or stomach upset.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. It's a theoretical concern based on lab studies and how these compounds behave, not real-world reports of people getting into trouble. Rimegepant is not a prodrug, so the direction is more drug, not less. Still, before pairing them, run it by your pharmacist or doctor so they can look at your full picture.
