Dr. Brian Staiger, PharmD, BCPS
Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Here's the simple version: Jentadueto XR (linagliptin plus metformin) already works to lower your blood sugar. The thought is that concentrated cucumber seed extract might nudge your blood sugar down a little further, so the two together could, in theory, push you toward a low (hypoglycemia). With this combo, that might show up as shakiness, sweating, dizziness, hunger, or feeling foggy.

Honestly though, this is a very weak concern. The evidence comes only from animal studies using concentrated seed extract, not from people. Eating cucumber as a normal food is extremely unlikely to cause any trouble. If you're using a strong cucumber seed supplement, just keep an eye on your readings and mention it to your pharmacist or doctor.
