Amitriptyline, Perphenazine falls under SEIZURE THRESHOLD LOWERING DRUGS — the group Dendrobium interacts with.

The dendrobium constituent dendrobine is reported to have convulsant effects. Theoretically, combining dendrobium with pro-convulsant drugs might increase the risk of seizure. Some drugs that lower the seizure threshold include anesthetics (propofol, others), antiarrhythmics (mexiletine), antibiotics (amphotericin, penicillin, cephalosporins, imipenem), antidepressants (bupropion, others), antihistamines (cyproheptadine, others), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine), narcotics (fentanyl, others), stimulants (methylphenidate), theophylline, and others.

Here's the thing to know about this combo. Both medicines in Triavil, the antidepressant amitriptyline and the antipsychotic perphenazine, can lower your seizure threshold a little on their own. That just means they make seizures slightly easier to trigger. Dendrobium contains a compound called dendrobine that, at least in lab and animal work, can act as a convulsant. So in theory, putting the two together could nudge that seizure risk up a bit.

I want to be honest that this is a theoretical concern based on how things work, not on real reports in people, so don't panic. Still, if you take Triavil, especially at higher doses or with a history of seizures, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding Dendrobium.
