Cyclobenzaprine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Diindolylmethane interacts with.

Theoretically, diindolylmethane might lower serum levels of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro evidence suggests that diindolylmethane can induce CYP1A2. Theoretically, it might increase metabolism of CYP1A2 substrates and lower serum concentrations. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist: your body clears cyclobenzaprine partly through a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. In test-tube studies, DIM seems to speed up that enzyme. If that held true in people, your liver could clear cyclobenzaprine a little faster, which might make it work a bit less well. In practice, that could mean your muscle relaxant feels less effective at easing that strain or spasm, though cyclobenzaprine is not a prodrug, so we are not talking about a dangerous buildup here.

The honest truth is this is theoretical, based only on lab data, and has never been reported in actual patients. It's rated minor and unlikely. Still, if you take both and notice your muscle pain isn't easing like usual, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor.

What Is Cyclobenzaprine Used For?

Brand names: Cyclobenzaprine, Flexeril, Cycloprine

Cyclobenzaprine tablets and extended-release capsules are used alongside rest and physical therapy to relieve muscle spasm caused by acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions — easing pain, tenderness, and limited movement. This use is intended for short-term treatment only (up to 2–3 weeks).

Tonmya, the sublingual (under-the-tongue) form of cyclobenzaprine, is separately indicated for the treatment of fibromyalgia in adults. It is not the same as the oral tablet or capsule formulations.
