Here's the twist with this combo: the worry isn't really about your aspirin, codeine, and phenobarbital changing. It's the other way around. Dusty Miller contains pyrrolizidine alkaloids, plant compounds that can harm the liver. Your body uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to process them, and the phenobarbital in this product is a strong booster (inducer) of that enzyme. In theory, speeding up that enzyme could create more of the toxic byproducts from those alkaloids, potentially raising the strain on your liver.

I want to be honest about the strength of this: it's a theoretical concern based on lab work, not real patient cases. Still, Dusty Miller isn't considered safe to take on its own. Please run any product made from it past your pharmacist or doctor before using it.
