Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
LOPINAVIR/RITONAVIR (Kaletra)
In a case report, an HIV patient who took evening primrose oil (Efamol) along with lopinavir/ritonavir experienced an increase in serum levels of lopinavir to 15.2 mg/L. Six weeks after discontinuing evening primrose oil, levels of lopinavir returned to the normal range of 5-10 mg/L. When re-challenged with evening primrose oil for a week, the patient's lopinavir levels increased from 6.69 to 8.11 mg/L. It is suspected that evening primrose oil increases levels of lopinavir by inhibiting cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4), which metabolizes lopinavir. However, this effect has not been reported in other research.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist with Technivie (ombitasvir, paritaprevir, and ritonavir). Part of how this combo works is that the ritonavir piece is a strong helper that slows down a liver enzyme called CYP3A4, which keeps your drug levels up on purpose. There's a single case report where evening primrose oil seemed to nudge a similar medication (lopinavir/ritonavir) a bit higher, possibly by also slowing that same enzyme. The thought is your Technivie levels could creep up too, which might mean more side effects like nausea, tiredness, itching, or trouble sleeping.
Honestly, this is weak, theoretical evidence (one patient), so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, since these meds are already finely balanced, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding evening primrose. Don't change anything on your own.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Ombitasvir, Paritaprevir Ritonavir page
“Technivie (ombitasvir, paritaprevir, and ritonavir) treats hepatitis C, and because a cure depends on holding steady drug levels for the whole course, this list warrants genuine care. Most of the 154 ingredients on file touch the CYP3A4 enzyme pathway, meaning they can push the drug's blood levels up or down.”

About Ombitasvir, Paritaprevir, and Ritonavir
What Is Ombitasvir, Paritaprevir, and Ritonavir Used For?
Brand name: Technivie
-
The combination of ombitasvir, paritaprevir, and ritonavir is usually used in combination with ribavirin (Copegus, Rebetol), but sometimes it is used alone to treat a certain type of chronic (long-term) hepatitis C infection (swelling of the liver caused by a virus). Ombitasvir is a hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS5A inhibitor. It works by stopping the virus that causes hepatitis C from spreading inside the body. Paritaprevir is a protease inhibitor. It works by decreasing the amount of HCV in the body. Ritonavir is a protease inhibitor. It helps to increase the amount of paritaprevir in the body so that the medication will have a greater effect. It is not known if ombitasvir, paritaprevir, or ritonavir prevent the spread of hepatitis C to other people.
