Givosiran Sodium falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) INHIBITORS — the group Fever Bark interacts with.

Theoretically, CYP2D6 inhibitors might increase the levels and clinical effects of yohimbine, a constituent of fever bark.
In vitro and clinical research shows that the fever bark constituent, yohimbine, is metabolized by CYP2D6 isoenzymes.

Here's the twist with this one: it's really about the supplement, not your medication. Givosiran (Givlaari) is an injectable treatment for acute hepatic porphyria, and it's known to slow down the CYP2D6 enzyme in your liver. Fever bark contains yohimbine, a plant chemical that your body normally clears using that very same enzyme.

So by blocking CYP2D6, givosiran could let yohimbine build up to higher levels than expected. Yohimbine on its own can raise blood pressure, speed up your heart, and cause anxiety, jitteriness, or trouble sleeping, and more of it in your system could make those effects stronger. This is a theoretical concern based on how the chemicals behave, not proven harm. Still, fever bark has potent, unpredictable alkaloids, so please check with your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.
