Safinamide Mesylate falls under MONOAMINE OXIDASE INHIBITORS (MAOIs) — the group Fever Bark interacts with.

Concomitant use of MAOIs with fever bark can result in additive effects.
Yohimbine, a constituent of fever bark, has MAO inhibitory effects. At high doses, yohimbine is a non-selective inhibitor of MAO. It is not known if this would occur with fever bark.

Here's the concern with pairing fever bark and Xadago (safinamide). Safinamide is already an MAO-B inhibitor, meaning it slows down one of the enzymes that breaks down certain brain chemicals. Fever bark contains a yohimbine-like alkaloid that, at least in the lab, can also block MAO. Stacking two MAO-blocking effects could push things too far, and the worry is a spike in blood pressure (sometimes called a hypertensive reaction) along with headache, a racing heart, sweating, or feeling agitated.

I'll be honest: this is a theoretical caution based on the bark's chemistry, not proven cases, and we don't even know if real fever bark doses block MAO the way pure yohimbine can. Still, given how potent fever bark's alkaloids are, I'd steer clear and check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
