Methamphetamine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Hibiscus Sabdariffa interacts with.

Theoretically, Hibiscus sabdariffa extract might reduce the metabolism of CYP2D6 substrates.
In vitro research shows that Hibiscus sabdariffa calyx extract inhibits CYP2D6. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist with prescription methamphetamine (Desoxyn). Your body uses a liver enzyme called CYP2D6 to help break this stimulant down. In lab dish studies, hibiscus extract slowed that same enzyme. In theory, that could let a bit more methamphetamine linger in your system, which might nudge up the usual stimulant effects like a faster heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or a poor appetite.

That said, this is only a theoretical concern from test-tube work, and it has never actually been reported in people. A cup of tart hibiscus tea is very unlikely to cause trouble. Concentrated hibiscus supplements are where I'd be a little more cautious. If you're taking Desoxyn, just check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding hibiscus supplements.
