Here's the situation with NexoBrid (anacaulase-bcdb). This isn't a pill you swallow. It's a gel made from enzymes (derived from pineapple) that's spread directly onto severe burns to dissolve and remove dead tissue. Because it works right at the wound, one of its known effects is that it can affect clotting and lead to some bleeding or oozing at the burn site.

The concern with indole-3-carbinol is purely theoretical here, and it's based only on lab dish studies showing it may slow platelets (the cells that help you clot). The worry is that adding anything that thins the blood could, in theory, mean a bit more bleeding at the treated area. The evidence is weak, and broccoli or cabbage on your plate is very unlikely to matter. Still, since NexoBrid is used on raw wounds, please tell your care team about any supplements you take so they can keep an eye on bleeding.
