Estropipate is a form of estrogen you take to ease menopause symptoms like hot flashes and to help protect your bones. Here's the concern with indole-3-carbinol (I3C): it seems to push your liver to break down estrogen toward weaker forms, and it may act against estrogen in the body. In plain terms, taking the supplement alongside your estrogen could chip away at how well the estrogen works, so your hot flashes or other symptoms might creep back.

I want to be honest about the evidence though. This comes mostly from lab and animal studies, so it's more of a theoretical worry than a proven problem. The small amount you'd get from eating broccoli or cabbage is very unlikely to matter. Concentrated I3C capsules are the real question. Before adding one, please check with your pharmacist or doctor.
