Here's the simple version. Bivalirudin is a strong blood thinner given through an IV, usually in a hospital during procedures like angioplasty or stent placement to keep clots from forming. It isn't a pill you take at home, and it's carefully dosed and monitored by your care team.

The concern with indole-3-carbinol is that, in early lab studies only, it seemed to make platelets (the cells that help clotting) a bit less sticky. On its own that's mild, but stacked on top of a potent anticoagulant like bivalirudin, the theory is it could nudge your bleeding risk a little higher (think bruising or slower-stopping bleeding). This is theoretical and based on test-tube data, not real patients, so don't be alarmed. Since bivalirudin is hospital-given, just mention any supplements you take to your doctor or pharmacist beforehand.
