Here's the situation with indole-3-carbinol (I3C) and Vorapaxar (Zontivity). Vorapaxar is already a platelet blocker that keeps your blood from clotting too easily, which is exactly why your doctor pairs it with aspirin and Plavix after a heart attack or for leg circulation problems. In lab studies, I3C also seems to slow platelets from sticking together. So in theory, stacking the two could push your blood a little further toward easy bleeding, things like more bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or blood that's slow to stop.

The honest part: this concern comes only from test-tube research, not from people, so it's more of a caution than a proven problem. Eating broccoli or cabbage is not the issue here, concentrated I3C capsules are. Please don't add or stop anything on your own. Just run the supplement past your pharmacist or doctor first.

Zontivity (vorapaxar) is used to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke, cardiovascular death, and the need for urgent procedures to open blocked arteries. It is prescribed for people who have already had a heart attack or who have peripheral arterial disease (PAD) — a condition where arteries outside the heart become narrowed or blocked.

Zontivity is not used alone. It is given alongside aspirin and/or clopidogrel as part of a broader antiplatelet treatment plan.
