Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Acetaminophen, Chlorpheniramine, Phenylephrine
Acetaminophen, Chlorpheniramine, Phenylephrine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Ipriflavone interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
This combo cold-and-allergy product mixes a pain/fever reducer (acetaminophen), an antihistamine (chlorpheniramine), and a decongestant (phenylephrine). The concern on file is that ipriflavone may gently block a liver enzyme called CYP1A2, which could slow how some medicines are cleared and let their levels drift a little higher. In plain terms, you might feel the effects a touch more strongly, such as extra drowsiness or dry mouth from the antihistamine, or more jitteriness or a faster heartbeat from the decongestant.
Here's the reassuring part: this is a theoretical worry based only on lab studies, and none of these ingredients are activated by that enzyme, so they won't be weakened. Still, if you take ipriflavone regularly, run it past your pharmacist or doctor first.

Ipriflavone is a synthetic isoflavone studied mainly for bone health and osteoporosis, but high-quality research has not shown that it reliably prevents fractures or builds strong bone.
