Jambolan and Romosozumab-Aqqg

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Romosozumab-Aqqg and Jambolan in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

How to take them

Some Romosozumab-Aqqg Products Have a Food Rule — Jambolan Should Not Break It

At least one FDA label for a product containing Romosozumab-Aqqg says to take it on an empty stomach. Most supplements — Jambolan included — are taken with a meal, so the easy mistake is swallowing both together at breakfast. Where that rule applies, keep Romosozumab-Aqqg on its own and move Jambolan to a meal later in the day.

This may not be true of your version. Food instructions belong to the product, not the ingredient: two Romosozumab-Aqqg products can carry different directions, and extended-release forms often differ from immediate-release ones. The label we read is quoted below — check the directions on your own box or bottle, or ask your pharmacist, for how to take the exact product you were given.

Allow EVENITY to sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before injecting.

From the Dosage and Administration section of the FDA label we read for Romosozumab-Aqqg — where that label names a specific product, the instruction is that product's. Read the label on DailyMed ›

A food rule is not an interaction — it is about how much of the medicine you absorb. The directions that came with your own product, and your pharmacist, outrank anything on this page.

About Jambolan

What is Jambolan?

  • Blood sugar support
  • Digestive upset and diarrhea
  • Sore throat and mouth health
  • Antimicrobial
  • General antioxidant support

Jambolan (Syzygium cumini), also called Java plum or black plum, is a tropical fruit tree traditionally used for blood sugar and digestive complaints. Human evidence for these uses is limited and not strong, so it should not replace proven treatments like diabetes medication. The fruit is safe as food, but talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using concentrated supplements.

Syzygium cumini · Myrtaceae · Seeds, fruit, leaves, and bark · Dried seed powder, capsules, tea, fruit extract, juice

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Jambolan is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Jambolan record says about it on its own.

Jambolan: dosing

There is no well-established standardized dose for Jambolan supplements. Traditional use and products vary widely in the part used (seed, fruit, leaf, or bark) and in how concentrated they are.Because a proven safe and effective dose has not been set, the best approach is to follow the directions on the product label and not exceed them.

About Romosozumab-aqqg Injection

What Is Romosozumab-aqqg Injection Used For?

Brand name: Evenity

Evenity (romosozumab-aqqg) is approved to treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women who are at high risk for breaking a bone. That includes women who have already had an osteoporotic fracture, have multiple risk factors for fractures, or have not responded to — or cannot tolerate — other osteoporosis treatments.

Treatment with Evenity is limited to 12 monthly doses. If continued bone protection is needed after that course, a prescriber will typically recommend switching to a different type of osteoporosis medication called an anti-resorptive agent.
