Insulin Lispro falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Jambolan interacts with.

Animal research shows that jambolan seed and bark extracts can lower blood glucose levels. Theoretically, jambolan might have additive effects when used with antidiabetes drugs. This might increase the risk of hypoglycemia in some patients. Monitor blood glucose levels closely.

Here's the thing to keep in mind: insulin lispro is a fast-acting insulin that already lowers your blood sugar. If jambolan also nudges your sugar down (and the evidence for that is mostly from animal studies, not solid human research), the two could add up. In plain terms, your blood sugar might dip lower than you expect.

That matters because low blood sugar from insulin can cause shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, confusion, or in serious cases fainting. Eating the fruit as food is unlikely to cause trouble, but a concentrated jambolan supplement is the part to watch. Don't change your insulin dose on your own. If you want to try jambolan, check in with your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your glucose readings.

What Is Insulin Lispro Injection Used For?

Brand names: Admelog, Admelog Solostar

Insulin lispro injection is used to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in people with diabetes mellitus. It is a rapid-acting insulin analog approved for use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Admelog is specifically indicated to improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus. Humalog Mix75/25 is indicated to improve glycemic control in adults with diabetes mellitus; it is a fixed-ratio mixture of insulin lispro and insulin lispro protamine, and its fixed proportions do not allow for separate adjustment of basal (background) and prandial (mealtime) doses.
