Simvastatin, Sitagliptin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Jiaogulan interacts with.

Juvisync is a combination pill, and the part that matters here is the sitagliptin, which helps lower your blood sugar. Jiaogulan also appears to nudge blood sugar downward. So when you take them together, the worry is that your sugar could dip too low (hypoglycemia) more than expected.

What that can feel like: shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a racing heartbeat, or feeling confused or hungry. The good news is the evidence here is fairly limited and the concern is mostly theoretical, based on lower quality studies. Still, if you decide to add jiaogulan, it's smart to watch your blood sugar more closely at first and let your doctor or pharmacist know before you start, so they can guide you. Don't change your Juvisync dose on your own.
