Madagascar periwinkle is a flowering plant famous as the natural source of important chemotherapy drugs (vincristine and vinblastine), but the raw plant itself is toxic and not safe to use as a home remedy. While it has a long history in traditional medicine, there is no reliable evidence that taking the whole herb is safe or effective, and it should not be self-administered.

What Is Naratriptan Used For?

Brand name: Amerge

Naratriptan tablets are used to treat migraine headaches — with or without aura — when a migraine is already happening. It is a rescue treatment, meaning you take it during an attack, not daily to prevent migraines.

It is not used to prevent migraines, and it has not been proven effective for cluster headaches. Naratriptan should only be used when a doctor has clearly confirmed a diagnosis of migraine.
