Homatropine Methylbromide, Hydrocodone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group N,n-dmpea interacts with.

In vitro research shows that N,N-DMPEA strongly inhibits cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6). Theoretically, concomitant use with drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 might increase the risk for adverse effects from these drugs.
Some drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 include amitriptyline (Elavil), clozapine (Clozaril), codeine, desipramine (Norpramin), donepezil (Aricept), fentanyl (Duragesic), flecainide (Tambocor), fluoxetine (Prozac), meperidine (Demerol), methadone (Dolophine), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL), olanzapine (Zyprexa), ondansetron (Zofran), tramadol (Ultram), trazodone (Desyrel), and others.

Here's the wrinkle with Hycodan: the hydrocodone part is actually a prodrug that your liver enzyme CYP2D6 helps convert into hydromorphone, a more potent active form. Lab studies suggest N,N-DMPEA can block CYP2D6 fairly strongly. If that enzyme is slowed, less hydrocodone gets converted, so you might get less of that stronger painkilling and cough-suppressing punch. Honestly, the picture is mixed, because the parent hydrocodone still works on its own.

Keep in mind this is theory from test-tube work only, not real human data, and N,N-DMPEA itself is poorly studied. Still, mixing two things that affect the brain is worth caution. Please run this combo by your pharmacist or doctor before using them together.
