Why this applies to Bisoprolol

Bisoprolol falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group N,n-dmpea interacts with.

In vitro research shows that N,N-DMPEA strongly inhibits cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6). Theoretically, concomitant use with drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 might increase the risk for adverse effects from these drugs.
Some drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 include amitriptyline (Elavil), clozapine (Clozaril), codeine, desipramine (Norpramin), donepezil (Aricept), fentanyl (Duragesic), flecainide (Tambocor), fluoxetine (Prozac), meperidine (Demerol), methadone (Dolophine), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL), olanzapine (Zyprexa), ondansetron (Zofran), tramadol (Ultram), trazodone (Desyrel), and others.

Here's the thing to know about pairing this pre-workout ingredient with bisoprolol. In lab dish studies, N,N-DMPEA appears to block an enzyme called CYP2D6, which is one of the pathways your body uses to clear certain medications. If that enzyme gets slowed down, a drug it handles can build up and hit harder than expected.

For bisoprolol specifically, the practical worry would be too much beta-blocker effect: an unusually slow heart rate, dizziness, lightheadedness, tiredness, or blood pressure dropping too low. I'd add that bisoprolol leans more on your kidneys than on CYP2D6, so this concern is partly theory and is based only on test-tube data, not real people. Still, since DMPEA itself is a stimulant with little safety research, please run this combo by your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.
