Why this applies to Chlorpropamide

Chlorpropamide falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group N,n-dmpea interacts with.

In vitro research shows that N,N-DMPEA strongly inhibits cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6). Theoretically, concomitant use with drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 might increase the risk for adverse effects from these drugs.
Some drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 include amitriptyline (Elavil), clozapine (Clozaril), codeine, desipramine (Norpramin), donepezil (Aricept), fentanyl (Duragesic), flecainide (Tambocor), fluoxetine (Prozac), meperidine (Demerol), methadone (Dolophine), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL), olanzapine (Zyprexa), ondansetron (Zofran), tramadol (Ultram), trazodone (Desyrel), and others.

Here's the honest picture: the concern on file is that N,N-DMPEA may block a liver enzyme called CYP2D6 in lab studies. But chlorpropamide isn't really cleared through CYP2D6 in any meaningful way (sulfonylureas are mostly handled by CYP2C9 and the kidneys). So this particular enzyme story doesn't fit chlorpropamide very well, and the evidence is only test-tube level to begin with.

The bigger real-world worry is simpler: chlorpropamide lowers blood sugar, and a stimulant-type supplement that hasn't been well studied adds an unpredictable variable. Watch for shakiness, sweating, fast heartbeat, or feeling faint, which can blur the line between low blood sugar and stimulant effects.
