Aripiprazole Lauroxil falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group N,n-dmpea interacts with.

In vitro research shows that N,N-DMPEA strongly inhibits cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6). Theoretically, concomitant use with drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 might increase the risk for adverse effects from these drugs.
Some drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 include amitriptyline (Elavil), clozapine (Clozaril), codeine, desipramine (Norpramin), donepezil (Aricept), fentanyl (Duragesic), flecainide (Tambocor), fluoxetine (Prozac), meperidine (Demerol), methadone (Dolophine), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL), olanzapine (Zyprexa), ondansetron (Zofran), tramadol (Ultram), trazodone (Desyrel), and others.

Here's the gist with this combo. Aripiprazole lauroxil (Aristada) is a long-acting shot your body slowly breaks down, partly through a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. In lab studies, N,N-DMPEA appears to block that same enzyme. If it does the same thing in people, your aripiprazole could clear more slowly and build up, which may mean stronger effects and more side effects like restlessness, trouble sitting still, drowsiness, dizziness, tremor, or nausea.

That said, this is theory based only on test-tube data, not real human studies, and aripiprazole stays in your system for weeks no matter what. We just don't have solid safety info on N,N-DMPEA itself. Please run this by your doctor or pharmacist before mixing the two.

Aripiprazole injection is used to treat schizophrenia and to provide maintenance treatment for bipolar I disorder in adults. Different injectable products carry these approvals.

Abilify Asimtufii is approved for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults and as maintenance monotherapy for bipolar I disorder in adults. Aristada is approved for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults, with Aristada Initio used specifically to help start Aristada therapy.
