The medication you're asking about pairs atropine with phenobarbital, and it's the phenobarbital piece that matters here. Phenobarbital is a barbiturate, which is a sedative that slows down the brain and nervous system. In animal studies, Pinellia ternata also seemed to calm activity and lengthen sleep, so the concern is that stacking the two could add up and make you more sleepy than expected.

In real life that might look like extra drowsiness, grogginess, slowed breathing, dizziness, or feeling unsteady on your feet. I want to be honest though: this is based only on lab and animal research, not solid human studies, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Still, since both can sedate, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
