SEROTONERGIC DRUGS

Acetaminophen, Chlorpheniramine, Phenylephrine, Salicylamide falls under SEROTONERGIC DRUGS — the group Psilocybin interacts with.
Psilocybin has serotonin 2A (5-HT2A) receptor agonist activity. Theoretically, combining serotonergic drugs with psilocybin might increase the risk of serotonergic side effects, including serotonin syndrome. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
This combo product (Rhinogesic) is a cold and allergy mix: acetaminophen for pain and fever, chlorpheniramine (an antihistamine), phenylephrine (a decongestant), and salicylamide (a pain reliever). The piece that matters here is chlorpheniramine, which can nudge serotonin activity a little. On paper, pairing anything that touches serotonin with psilocybin could add up and, in theory, raise the chance of serotonin syndrome (think agitation, fast heartbeat, sweating, shivering, or muscle twitching).
Honestly, this is a theoretical concern only, and it has not actually been reported in people. Psilocybin also is not an approved supplement and should only ever be used in a supervised study. Please don't start, stop, or combine anything on your own. Run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

Due to the central nervous system (CNS) stimulant effects of psilocybin, concomitant use with stimulant drugs may increase the risk of adverse effects.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
This combination cold product (Rhinogesic) contains phenylephrine, a decongestant that mildly stimulates your system, bumping up heart rate and blood pressure. Psilocybin can also nudge the nervous system in a stimulating direction. Put them together and, at least on paper, you might see those stimulant-type effects stacked: a racing or pounding heart, jitteriness, higher blood pressure, restlessness, or trouble sleeping.
I want to be honest about how solid this is. The concern here is theoretical, based on how these substances work, not on strong clinical studies. None of these ingredients is a prodrug that psilocybin activates. Beyond all that, psilocybin is investigational and illegal in most places. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing anything like this.
