Ibrexafungerp Citrate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Rooibos interacts with.

Theoretically, taking rooibos with CYP3A4 substrates may increase the effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that the methanol extract of rooibos leaves and stems strongly inhibits CYP3A4 enzyme activity.

Here's the basic idea: your body clears Brexafemme (ibrexafungerp) using a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Lab research suggests that concentrated rooibos extracts may slow that enzyme down. If that happened in real life, the medication could build up a bit more than expected, which might mean a stronger chance of its usual side effects like nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, or dizziness.

The good news is that this is only a theoretical concern based on test-tube studies, not real patient cases. A normal cup or two of rooibos tea is very unlikely to cause trouble. The bigger question mark would be concentrated rooibos supplements. Since Brexafemme is usually a short course, just check with your pharmacist or doctor if you're using strong extracts.
