Talwin Compound combines aspirin with pentazocine, and pentazocine is an opioid pain reliever that can make you feel drowsy or foggy. The concern here is mostly about that sedating side. Some traditional reports suggest shepherd's purse may have a mild calming or sedative-like effect, so taken together they could, in theory, add up and leave you feeling more sleepy, lightheaded, or slowed down than usual.

I want to be honest that this is a theoretical worry based on how these things might behave, not on solid human studies, so it may not amount to much in real life. Still, if you notice extra grogginess, dizziness, or trouble staying alert, ease up and check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
