Squill Overview
Squill is a type of bulbous perennial plant, also known as sea onion or sea squill, that is native to the Mediterranean region and the Black Sea coast. It has been used in traditional medicine and contains a substance known as scillaren A, which is believed to be responsible for its medicinal properties.
Squill has been used for a variety of purposes, including as an expectorant to relieve coughs, as a diuretic to increase urine production and as a 'cardiac tonic', to stimulate the heart and improve circulation. It has also been used topically for hair loss. However, it is important to note that squill contains cardiac glycosides that can be toxic and may cause serious side effects, such as an irregular heartbeat, low blood pressure, and death. It must be used cautiously.
Deflazacort Overview

Deflazacort is used to treat Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD; a progressive disease in which the muscles do not function properly) in adults and children 2 years of age and older. Deflazacort is in a class of medications called corticosteroids. It works by reducing inflammation (swelling) and by changing the way the immune system works.
