This combination product contains phenobarbital, a barbiturate that calms the nervous system, along with belladonna. Phenobarbital already tends to make people drowsy, relaxed, and a little slowed down. The concern here is simple addition: berberine, the active part of tree turmeric, has shown mild sedative effects in animal studies, so stacking it on top of phenobarbital could leave you feeling extra sleepy, foggy, or unsteady.

I want to be honest about the evidence though. This is theoretical and based only on lab and animal work, not real human cases, so for most people it's a mild caution rather than a danger. Still, since phenobarbital is a strong sedative, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding tree turmeric, and don't change your medication on your own.
