Here's the concern with pairing turmeric and Tryvio (aprocitentan). This isn't about turmeric changing how the drug works or how fast your body clears it. Instead, both can be tough on the liver, so stacking them may add extra strain. Aprocitentan already carries warnings about liver effects, which is why your doctor may check liver enzymes while you're on it.

To be fair, this is mostly a theoretical caution based on scattered case reports, and it usually involves high-dose, high-absorption curcumin products rather than the turmeric you sprinkle on food. Culinary amounts are unlikely to be a problem. Still, before starting a concentrated turmeric supplement, check with your pharmacist or doctor, and speak up if you notice yellowing skin, dark urine, or unusual fatigue.

What Is Aprocitentan Used For?

Brand name: Tryvio

Tryvio is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. It is specifically for people whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on other blood pressure medications — it is always used together with at least one other antihypertensive drug, not on its own.

Lowering blood pressure helps reduce the risk of serious cardiovascular events such as stroke and heart attack. Tryvio has not been studied as a standalone treatment and is not intended to replace other blood pressure medicines.
