Here's the gist for Tylosterone (which combines diethylstilbestrol, an estrogen, with methyltestosterone, a synthetic male hormone). Both of these hormones are processed by your liver, and methyltestosterone in particular is known to be tough on liver tissue. The worry here isn't about turmeric changing how strong your medicine is. Instead, it's that turmeric itself may, in rare cases, stress the liver too. Stack two things that lean on the liver and you could, in theory, raise the chance of liver irritation.

To be honest, this concern rests on scattered case reports, and it mostly involves concentrated, high-dose curcumin products, not the turmeric you sprinkle on food. Cooking amounts are very unlikely to matter. Still, watch for yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding a turmeric supplement.
