Here's the concern in plain terms: some concentrated turmeric supplements have been linked to liver irritation, especially the high-dose, highly absorbable formulas. Rezafungin (Rezzayo) is an antifungal that can also stress the liver in some people, so the worry is that stacking the two might add up and raise the odds of liver trouble. Realistically that could show up as things like fatigue, nausea, belly pain on the right side, dark urine, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.

Keep this in perspective, though. This is a theoretical caution based mostly on scattered case reports, not strong proof. Turmeric as a cooking spice is very unlikely to matter. If you're on Rezafungin and considering a turmeric supplement, just run it by your doctor or pharmacist first.

About Rezafungin Injection

What Is Rezafungin Injection Used For?

Brand name: Rezzayo

Rezzayo (rezafungin injection) is used to treat candidemia (a Candida yeast infection in the bloodstream) and invasive candidiasis (a serious Candida infection that has spread into the body's tissues or organs). It is approved for adults and for adolescents 12 years of age and older who have limited or no other treatment options.

Important note: Rezzayo has not been studied in Candida infections of the heart (endocarditis), bones (osteomyelitis), or the brain and spinal cord (meningitis), so it is not used for those conditions.
