Here's the thing to keep in mind with this pairing: both wild lettuce and primidone can calm down your nervous system. Primidone already tends to cause drowsiness, dizziness, unsteadiness, and trouble concentrating, especially when you first start it. Wild lettuce is traditionally used to make people sleepy and relaxed, so stacking the two could add up and leave you feeling more sedated than you'd expect.

I want to be honest about the evidence here, though. This concern is theoretical, based on how the herb is thought to work, not on solid human studies. Still, since extra drowsiness behind the wheel or on stairs can be risky, I'd run this by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them rather than guessing on your own.

What Is Primidone Used For?

Brand name: Mysoline

Primidone tablets — sold as Mysoline or under the generic name primidone — are used to control seizures in people with epilepsy. Both Mysoline and primidone tablets are approved for grand mal (generalized tonic-clonic), psychomotor, and focal (partial) epileptic seizures.

Primidone can be used alone or alongside other anti-seizure medicines. It may also help control grand mal seizures that haven't responded well to other anticonvulsant treatments.
