30 Billion Plus Probiotic Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking 30 Billion Plus Probiotic against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of 30 Billion Plus Probiotic by Portions Master
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
This probiotic contains 10 active ingredients—a blend of live beneficial bacterial strains including Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus salivarius, Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium breve, Bifidobacterium animalis lactis, Bacillus coagulans, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus casei, and Bacillus subtilis (labeled as DE111). These are meant to support your gut health by adding friendly bacteria to your digestive tract.
The capsule itself contains inactive ingredients—cellulose, gellan gum, purified water, rice dextrin, and medium chain triglyceride—that help deliver and protect the live cultures.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence is mixed and mostly thin. Lactobacillus acidophilus shows possibly effective ratings for irritable bowel syndrome, Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-related diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis.
Bacillus coagulans is possibly effective for constipation and irritable bowel syndrome. Bacillus subtilis (DE111) is possibly effective for antibiotic-associated diarrhea.
For most other uses listed in our data—such as age-related cognitive decline, allergies, asthma, and athletic performance—the evidence is insufficient to rate. You're not getting a cure-all; you're getting a supplement with modest support for a few gut-related conditions.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
These probiotics are generally well tolerated in healthy adults, though caution is advised if you're seriously ill, immune-compromised, or have indwelling catheters—there have been rare reports of bacterial infection (bacteremia) in those high-risk groups. Mild side effects like bloating, flatulence, abdominal discomfort, and constipation have been reported rarely when taken orally.
One case of a dry cough was reported in a trial. Pregnant and breastfeeding folks: safety data are limited for most of these strains.
Bifidobacterium longum is rated possibly safe during pregnancy and lactation, but for the others, there isn't enough information to say either way—talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using if you're pregnant or nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
If you take antibiotic drugs, space them out from this probiotic—antibiotics can kill the live bacteria in the product and reduce its effectiveness. The five strains that interact with antibiotics at Moderate severity are Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium breve, Bacillus coagulans, Lactobacillus acidophilus, and Bacillus subtilis.
Use the checker on this page to confirm your exact medications before you start.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This is a multi-strain probiotic that may help with irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, and diarrhea related to antibiotics, though the evidence is incomplete. If you take antibiotics, you'll need to space them out from this product to make sure the probiotic actually works.
If you're critically ill, immune-compromised, or pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your doctor first.

30 Billion Plus Probiotic by Portions Master Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Portions Master 30 Billion Plus Probiotic contains multiple live bacterial strains, and several of them interact with antibiotic drugs.
The most serious concern is a Moderate interaction: taking any of these probiotics—Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium breve, Bacillus coagulans, Lactobacillus acidophilus, or Bacillus subtilis (DE111)—at the same time as antibiotics might reduce how well the probiotic works. Since these products contain living organisms, antibiotics can kill a significant number of them.
The fix is straightforward: space out your antibiotic and probiotic doses.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Altogether, these interactions span 182 individual medications.
We couldn't check several other ingredients in this product—Lactobacillus salivarius, Bifidobacterium animalis lactis, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, and Lactobacillus casei—because we hold no interaction data for them. That doesn't mean they're risk-free; it means the data simply isn't on file.
