These two interact in 2 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 2 Interactions?
Adrafinil interacts with whole categories of medication. Chlorpheniramine, Methscopolamine, Pseudoephedrine falls into 2 of those categories, so it can interact with Adrafinil in 2 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
1 of 2Why this applies to Chlorpheniramine, Methscopolamine, Pseudoephedrine
Chlorpheniramine, Methscopolamine, Pseudoephedrine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Adrafinil interacts with.
Adrafinil is a precursor to the stimulant prescription drug modafinil. Modafinil has been shown to weakly induce CYP3A4 activity.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
This combination product pairs an antihistamine (chlorpheniramine), a drying agent (methscopolamine), and a decongestant (pseudoephedrine), and it's most often used for cold and allergy symptoms like a runny nose and congestion. The piece that interacts here is chlorpheniramine, which the liver partly handles through an enzyme called CYP3A4.
Here's the theory: adrafinil turns into modafinil in your body, and modafinil can gently speed up that same enzyme. If that happened, your body might clear chlorpheniramine a little faster, so its symptom relief could feel slightly weaker. This is based on pharmacology only, not real-world cases, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, since adrafinil is unregulated and hard on the liver, please run this past your pharmacist or doctor first.

STIMULANT DRUGS
2 of 2Chlorpheniramine, Methscopolamine, Pseudoephedrine also falls under STIMULANT DRUGS.
Adrafinil is a precursor to the prescription drug modafinil, which has stimulant effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
The piece of this combo product that matters most here is the pseudoephedrine, which is a decongestant with stimulant-like properties. Adrafinil itself does little until your liver turns it into modafinil, a wakefulness drug that also has a stimulating effect. So when you stack the two, you're essentially layering one stimulant on top of another.
On paper, that could add up to things like a racing or pounding heart, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, anxiety, and trouble sleeping. To be honest, this is a theoretical concern based on how these drugs work, not something proven in studies, so I don't want to overstate it. Still, since adrafinil is unregulated and hard on the liver, please run this by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
