Here's the simple version: moexipril already works to bring your blood pressure down, and ashwagandha may gently nudge it down too. Put them together and those effects could stack up, meaning your pressure might dip a little lower than expected. If that happens, you could feel lightheaded, dizzy, tired, or a bit woozy when you stand up quickly.

I want to be honest about how strong this evidence is. It comes mostly from animal studies, so it's more of a theoretical concern than something we see often in real life. Still, since both can lower blood pressure, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before you start ashwagandha, especially if your readings already run on the low side. Don't change your moexipril on your own.

What Is Moexipril Used For?

Brand name: Univasc

Moexipril Hydrochloride tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). They can be used on their own or combined with thiazide diuretics (water pills) when blood pressure is not controlled by moexipril alone.

It's worth knowing that ACE inhibitors, including moexipril, tend to lower blood pressure less effectively in Black patients than in non-Black patients, and Black patients also have a higher risk of a serious swelling reaction called angioedema with ACE inhibitors.
