If you take thyroid hormone like levothyroxine or liothyronine (Armour Thyroid combines both), here's the gist: bacopa might gently push your thyroid levels in the same direction your medication already does. This idea comes from animal research where bacopa raised T4 in mice by about 40 percent. We don't have human studies confirming this happens in people, so think of it as a theoretical heads-up, not a red flag.

In plain terms, if bacopa did add to your thyroid effect, you could theoretically notice signs of too much thyroid hormone: a racing or pounding heart, feeling jittery, trouble sleeping, or unintended weight loss. The chance of this is low, but since thyroid dosing is finicky, it's worth mentioning to your pharmacist or doctor before adding bacopa, especially if you start checking it regularly.
