Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
THYROID HORMONE
Why this applies to Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG)
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) falls under THYROID HORMONE — the group Bacopa interacts with.
Animal research suggests that bacopa increases thyroxine (T4) levels in mice by about 40%.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the honest answer: the interaction on file is really about thyroid hormone, not HCG. HCG is an injectable hormone used for things like fertility treatment, triggering ovulation, or boosting testosterone in men. It does not work through your thyroid, so the bacopa concern (a possible bump in thyroid hormone, seen only in mice) doesn't logically apply to HCG.
So I wouldn't expect bacopa to change how your HCG works or cause typical HCG effects like ovarian or testicular stimulation. This is theoretical and category-based, with no real human data tying it to HCG. Bacopa's main nuisance is stomach upset. Still, since you're on a hormone treatment, it's worth a quick check with your prescriber or pharmacist before adding any supplement.

- Memory and cognitive support
- Anxiety and stress
- ADHD symptoms
- Age-related memory decline
- General brain health
Bacopa is an Ayurvedic herb most often used for memory and thinking.
