Triazolam falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Bacopa interacts with.

Theoretically, bacopa might increase the levels and adverse effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
Research on the effects of bacopa extracts on CYP3A4 enzymes is conflicting. Some in vitro evidence suggests that bacopa extract can moderately and competitively inhibit CYP3A4, while other in vitro evidence suggests that any effect is unlikely to be clinically significant.

Triazolam (Halcion) is a sleeping pill that your body clears using a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. The thinking here is that bacopa might gently slow down that same enzyme. If it does, your triazolam could break down a bit more slowly and build up, which means stronger effects than expected, like deep drowsiness, grogginess the next morning, dizziness, or feeling unsteady on your feet.

The good news is that this is mostly a theoretical concern. It comes from lab studies, not from people, and even those lab results disagree with each other. So I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but since both can make you sleepy, it's worth a quick mention to your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Bacopa is an Ayurvedic herb most often used for memory and thinking. Some small studies suggest it may modestly help memory when taken regularly for several weeks, but the evidence is limited and quality varies. Triazolam tablets are approved for the short-term treatment of insomnia in adults. Treatment is generally intended for 7 to 10 days. Halcion (a brand of triazolam) is specifically indicated for this same short-term use in adults.

Using triazolam for more than 2 to 3 weeks requires a full re-evaluation by your doctor to rule out an underlying medical or psychiatric condition driving the sleep problem.
