Here's the gist for esterified estrogens (Menest, Estratab), which you take to ease menopause symptoms like hot flashes. Baikal skullcap contains plant compounds (baicalein and others) that, in lab dishes, seem to act a little like estrogen and may bump up against the same estrogen receptors your medication works on. The worry is that large supplement amounts could theoretically compete with your therapy and slightly throw off how well it controls your symptoms.

I want to be honest about the strength here: this is based only on test-tube studies, not real people, so it's more of a caution than a proven problem. Still, if you're thinking about adding concentrated skullcap, run it by your pharmacist or doctor first so they can weigh it for your situation.
