Here's the short version: indapamide already works to bring your blood pressure down by helping your body shed extra salt and water. Baikal skullcap may have a mild blood-pressure-lowering effect of its own, at least in animal studies. Put them together and the two could add up, possibly pushing your pressure a little lower than intended.

If that happened, you might feel dizzy or lightheaded, especially when standing up quickly, and you could feel tired or even faint. I want to be straight with you though: this is a theoretical concern based on lab and animal work, not strong human proof. It's worth a quick chat with your doctor or pharmacist before adding the herb, especially if your readings already run low.

What Is Indapamide Used For?

Brand names: Lozol, Lozide

Indapamide tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), either on their own or together with other blood pressure medications. Lowering blood pressure helps reduce the risk of related complications.

Indapamide tablets are also used to treat salt and fluid retention (edema) associated with congestive heart failure. In certain cases, indapamide may also be appropriate during pregnancy when swelling is caused by a medical condition rather than normal pregnancy changes — but routine use in otherwise healthy pregnant women is not recommended.
