Dr. Brian Staiger, PharmD, BCPS
Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Here's the thing to keep an eye on with Zutripro: one of its ingredients, pseudoephedrine, is itself a stimulant decongestant. Caffeine is a stimulant too, so stacking them can add up. The concern here isn't about how your body breaks the medicine down. It's simply that two stimulants together can push the same effects further.

In real life, that might mean a faster or pounding heartbeat, feeling jittery or anxious, trouble sleeping, or a bump in blood pressure. This is rated as a moderate, mostly theoretical concern based on expert opinion, not strong studies, so don't panic. A normal cup of coffee is usually fine for most folks, but loading up on energy drinks while taking this would be the thing to avoid. If you have heart issues or anxiety, check with your pharmacist first.
