Chlorophyllin is a semi-synthetic derivative of chlorophyll. Chlorophyll has been reported to cause photosensitization. Orally, chlorophyll has also been associated with the development of pseudoporphyria in multiple case reports.

Here's the simple version: this cough and cold combo (the antihistamine chlorpheniramine plus the cough suppressant dextromethorphan) is grouped with medicines that can make your skin a little more sensitive to sunlight. Chlorophyllin may add to that effect, so the concern is mainly about sunburn-type reactions, like redness, rashes, or burning more easily after time outdoors.

I want to be honest that this is largely theoretical. It's based on reports that chlorophyll can cause light sensitivity, not on strong studies with this exact product. It won't change how the medicine treats your cough or stuffy nose. If you take both, just be smart about sun: use sunscreen, wear a hat, and cover up. And check with your pharmacist or doctor if you have questions.
