Porfimer falls under PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS — the group Chlorophyllin interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of chlorophyllin with photosensitizing drugs may have additive effects.
Chlorophyllin is a semi-synthetic derivative of chlorophyll. Chlorophyll has been reported to cause photosensitization. Orally, chlorophyll has also been associated with the development of pseudoporphyria in multiple case reports.

Here's the thing about Porfimer (Photofrin): it's a light-activated cancer treatment, so by design it makes your skin and eyes extremely sensitive to light for weeks after a treatment. That's why patients are told to stay out of bright sunlight and avoid intense indoor light during that recovery window.

Chlorophyllin can also cause your skin to react more strongly to light. So stacking the two together could, in theory, add to that sensitivity and raise the chance of a sunburn-like reaction, redness, swelling, or blistering on exposed skin. This concern is mostly theoretical and based on case reports with chlorophyll, not hard proof, but with a drug like Porfimer it's worth being careful. Please check with your oncology team or pharmacist before using chlorophyllin.
