Acetaminophen, Caffeine, Chlorpheniramine, Hydrocodone, Phenylephrine falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Corydalis Yanhusuo interacts with.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. Animal research suggests that berberine may have sedative effects. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also have CNS depressants effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
This combination product, sold as Hycomine Compound, already has two ingredients that can make you drowsy: hydrocodone (an opioid pain reliever) and chlorpheniramine (a sedating antihistamine). The concern here is simply additive sleepiness. Corydalis yanhusuo contains alkaloids that, in animal studies, appear to have their own calming, sedative effects on the brain. Stack that on top of two sedating drugs, and you could feel extra groggy, dizzy, or foggy, with slower reactions.
To be fair, this warning is theoretical, based on how these compounds behave in the lab and in animals, not on strong human studies. Still, since hydrocodone already affects breathing and alertness, I'd play it safe. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially before driving.

CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES

Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical evidence show that berberine can inhibit CYP2D6. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP2D6.

Here's the wrinkle with this particular combo product: the hydrocodone in it is a prodrug. Your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to turn part of it into hydromorphone, which gives some of the pain relief. Corydalis yanhusuo may block CYP2D6, so in theory it could slow that conversion. For hydrocodone that usually means a bit less pain relief, not more.
I'll be honest, this is a theoretical concern based on lab work, not strong human studies, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, if you notice your pain isn't as controlled, or you feel unusually drowsy or foggy, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical research show that berberine moderately inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP3A4.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
This combo product (Hycomine Compound) includes hydrocodone, an opioid that your liver processes partly through the CYP3A4 enzyme. Corydalis may gently block that enzyme, so in theory the hydrocodone could hang around a bit longer than usual. That could mean more drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or slowed breathing, especially if you already feel sleepy from the chlorpheniramine (an antihistamine) in this medicine.
Now, the honest part: this warning is theoretical, based on lab work and the herb's berberine content, not on real human studies with this exact medicine. So I wouldn't panic. Still, since an opioid is involved, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing the two, and don't change your dose on your own.
