Here's the simple version: this combination product already contains morphine, a strong opioid that calms the nervous system. Corydalis yanhusuo may add its own mild calming (sedative) effect on top of that. So in theory, stacking the two could leave you more drowsy than expected, with effects like deeper sleepiness, slowed or shallow breathing, dizziness, or feeling foggy and unsteady.

I want to be honest about the evidence here. This concern is theoretical, based mostly on lab and animal research, not solid human studies, so we don't know how strong it really is in people. Still, because morphine is a serious medication, it's worth playing it safe. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, and don't change your prescribed dose on your own.

Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical evidence show that berberine can inhibit CYP2D6. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP2D6.

Here's the gist for your morphine: corydalis may slow down a liver enzyme called CYP2D6, which can let certain drugs build up a bit more than usual. With morphine specifically, this matters less than you might think. Morphine is mostly cleared by a different pathway (a process called glucuronidation), not CYP2D6, so this interaction is mostly theoretical and based on lab work rather than real patients.

Still, if morphine levels did edge up, you could feel more drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or slower breathing. The atropine piece isn't really a CYP2D6 concern. Since corydalis itself can be sedating, the bigger worry is added grogginess. I'd run this by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
