Here's the simple version: Brexanolone (Zulresso) already has a strong calming, sedating effect. In fact, it's given as a slow IV drip in a monitored hospital setting because it can cause heavy drowsiness and even sudden loss of consciousness on its own. Corydalis yanhusuo is thought to have its own mild sedative effect, based mostly on animal and lab studies rather than solid human research.

So the worry is simply additive sleepiness. Stacking the two could leave you more drowsy, dizzy, or foggy than expected. This isn't a strong, proven warning, just a reasonable caution. Since brexanolone is already so carefully supervised, please tell your care team about any supplement, including Corydalis, before your infusion.
