Entrectinib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Corydalis Yanhusuo interacts with.

Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might increase serum levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical research show that berberine moderately inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP3A4.

Here's the gist for Rozlytrek (entrectinib): your liver relies on an enzyme called CYP3A4 to break this cancer drug down. Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine, which lab studies and some early human research suggest can moderately slow that same enzyme. If CYP3A4 works slower, entrectinib could clear out of your body less efficiently and build up to higher levels than expected.

For entrectinib, more in your blood can mean stronger side effects like dizziness, fatigue, swelling, weight gain, constipation, or heart rhythm changes (a longer QT interval). I'll be honest, this is a theoretical concern based on how these compounds behave, not on solid head-to-head studies. Still, since entrectinib is a serious cancer medicine, please don't add corydalis without first checking with your oncologist or pharmacist.

What Is Entrectinib Used For?

Brand name: Rozlytrek

Rozlytrek (entrectinib) is used to treat adult patients with ROS1-positive metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), as confirmed by an FDA-approved test. It is also approved for adult and pediatric patients older than 1 month of age who have solid tumors — any cancer type — that carry an NTRK gene fusion detected by an FDA-approved test, provided the tumor has no known acquired resistance mutation, is metastatic or cannot be surgically removed without severe harm, and has progressed after prior treatment or has no satisfactory alternative therapy.

The NTRK gene fusion approval in solid tumors was granted under accelerated approval, meaning it is based on tumor response rates. Continued approval may depend on results from confirmatory clinical trials.
